Painting the weekend away

Easter brought with it some beautiful sunny weather. Unfortunately, this was going to be our primary view:

It had been a while since we’d lived in a space we felt like painting, but we’d painted a number of our previous places and had learned a thing or two along the way. T really wanted to do something bold and I really wanted colors that I liked. We had to compromise on a few things, but in the end decided on some really gorgeous colors.

It was a lot of work. Luckily, T is a really good painter:

And of course, we had a lot of help from the boys. Who really didn’t appreciate their new baby gate:

It was a lot of work (two full days worth) but it came out really beautifully:

I can’t wait to see all of our stuff in it. Once the dust settles and the boxes get unpacked, I’m sure there will be pictures of that too. (Who am I kidding, I’m sure there will be pictures in between those things. Gotta blog about something, right?) Stay tuned…
